First Week

This week went well, I have some classes that will be challenging, and some hopefully that will just be fun. The girls on the floor are awesome, we do things every night basically and always eat together. Last night which was Friday the 13th..spooky...actually no it was so fun! We played Taboo as a pretty big group, if you don't know what Taboo is, it is a game a lot like charades but instead of acting you have a word you try to get your team to guess and on the card is also a list of words you cannot use to describe the word. If you do, well you blew it and now your team won't get a point. I tried to Skype my family my dang video camera wouldn't work so it ended up me being able to see them while they could only hear me. I lost my roommate which stinks because she was cool, but I guess when you can't afford things you have to make sacrifices, also it is nice because I have the whole room to myself. This morning I decided to read my scriptures, which is going to become a habit again. I started in 1 Nephi 18 and read through chapter 19. It really hit me that even though everyone around Nephi was murmuring he didn't take part in it, and that is how we need to live our lives. Also that we need to help spread the gospel and not let anyone try to bring us down, we all have great potential to change the world. A girl name Kirsten who is new on my floor is a great example of this, she didn't really know her roommate and she gave her a Book of Mormon, her roommate has told me she doesn't plan on reading it but one day hopefully she will. She is a brave young women, and I think everyone needs to start being brave by putting themselves out there and not let others scare us away.
