Life Is Good!!

Life is so good right now, and I don't even know what I have done to deserve it. Up until a couple of months ago I was about ready to give up on my hopes and dreams of becoming a Mechanical Engineer one day. Life just seemed to be going against it, and I wasn't sure I wanted try anymore. I knew giving up wasn't something I could do and not regret later, so I kept fighting, I believe it is a fight that will have great rewards in the end and that I need to keep fighting it. Sometime in September I met a boy I thought couldn't be real, he is like the perfect compliment to my crazy life. He loves music as much as I do, is sassy like me probably worse, and he isn't afraid to dream big. His name is Nate and honestly I don't know what I have done to deserve him. At first I was like man this kid is too good to be true, and there is no way he will want anything more than to just be friends. But nope I was absolutely wrong, so wrong in fact that he had to be as blunt as possible to me, he said his goal was to date me just after two or three times of doing stuff together. I couldn't believe it, a boy who thought I was worth dating. I told him that scared me and that he was crazy, and that I was afraid of failing him. So he was patient and finally just decided he was going to take control and take a risk. Haha I sort of made life hard because I couldn't believe what was happening.

That takes us to October 17, he had a big night planned and I was stressing out because I knew he was up to something. Just like any other day you plan something, the weather had to be off. Nate came over and had dinner with my family, then he said we were going for a drive. His plan was to go on a little hike and to watch the sunset. Unfortunately it had been raining, and was too muddy. So we did the alternative and went to his house where we jammed out to his awesome sound system. Haha most people find it odd that we just sit and jam for hours, but when music is as much as your life as breathing you never complain when the opportunity to listen to music comes up. Once it was dark, he said he had something for me but we had to go on a drive to get to it. Honestly I thought I was going to drop dead of an anxiety attack right then and there. Not knowing what the plan is makes for one nervous Juleea. Nate knew that I was freaking out, actually he always knows when I am silently panicking. It's amazing how observant he can be. He drove me to a park, where it was pitch black, oh goody what possibly could he have planned in the dark park. So now my thoughts were somewhere along the lines of this is where I die, thanks anxiety you are a real pal. Haha to make matters worse there was a hole in the middle of the ground that he joked about  burying me in, all I could do was laugh and pretend that my thoughts weren't already there. So he gets me out of the car, and starts walking towards some trees, as we are walking  Nate hits a button on a remote he has hidden  in his pocket and a tree lights up with the cutest little lights I have ever seen. We are standing under the tree when he opens a box and pulls out a crown. A little back story is needed, one of the first things I told him was that I was the queen of the office at work and really needed to get a crown to hang on my wall. Little did I know he was actually listening to me when I said that, most people just assume I am joking when I say that. So there we were standing under the lights and he is holding the sparkliest crown I have ever seen in his hands. I was seriously freaking out inside, he got me a freaking crown! This kid is seriously unreal! So crown in hand he asked me to be his girlfriend, actually he asked if he could be my prince since I was the queen. Since then I have corrected him and he is my king and I wouldn't have it any other way. Jokingly I told him he had the honor of being my court jester, good thing he has a fantastic sense of humor because that could have been the worst possible thing I could have said. Haha

Since we have been dating we have done tons of stuff together, and basically spend whatever free time we have with each other. I can't believe it has only been two months, because it seems like I have known him for so much longer. Sometimes I feel like I am living a dream because no one has ever believed in me as much as he has. I have been really struggling with school, and it really gets me down. Whenever  I was stressing out, or beating myself up for less than perfect scores Nate was right there to remind me that I could do it. There were many nights this last semester where I laid on his floor working on homework, and he would support me while doing so. He would send me reminders that he loved me no matter what my grades were, and that he knew I would come out on top. Nate always makes me feel like I am worth something, which is something I have really struggled with. Well the semester has ended and I am proud to say I passed my classes, which were some of the hardest I have ever taken and my grades were pretty solid. I can honestly say that without Nate quietly rooting for me on the side line I wouldn't have made it to the end with passing grades. Best part is my grades weren't only good, some of them were great.

So basically my life is good, and it can only get better from here.
