Coolest Day Of My Life!!

Well last week Tyler and Bre my roommates sent me a text and wanted me to return to Logan because they needed friends, at first I thought lame...but then they said we were going to go snowboarding!!! I couldn't resist so Tuesday night my amazing mother drove me to Logan, even though I think they wanted me home for little longer. Our adventure got postponed until that Friday but I am sure that was for the best. The day couldn't have been more beautiful, the weather was unbelievably perfect! We got up rented our snowshoes, and then got all of our stuff ready to climb a mountain and then snowboard down it. It took a little bit of driving to find the perfect mountain for our adventure but when we saw it we just knew that it was the right one. My excitement was so overwhelming  I mean it had been more than a year since I had been snowboarding. Last time I went it was with Bryce, and I hadn't ever gone with anyone else. I couldn't have been any happier, nervous, and excited than I was when we got all of our stuff on and started towards the  mountain! At first it was a flat walk through the most beautiful snow ever, it took us a little while to get to the base of the mountain. Once we got there we just started straight up it, this was the hardest part and we definitely were surprised at hard it was. It took us a good hour or so to get to the top, and right before the top we thought we had made it. Although to our disappointment there was a much steeper part to the point of the mountain, definitely one of the hardest hikes I have ever done. Tyler was the first up, and then eventually I got there. Once I got up there Tyler made me make it to the tree, I stripped off my coat and most of my layers. Then we got a second wind and started running in circles out of excitement. That was short lived because we went to cheer on Bre up the end of the hike, it was so exciting the we actually made it to the top! I wasn't sure I was going to make it part of the way up. Well we rested, hydrated all that good stuff and then some friendly snowshoers saw us clipping in to head back down the mountain. They were super impressed that we were boarding down the mountain. We took off and had the time of our lives!!! I did hit my knee pretty hard, but not even that could make my day bad. This adventure helped me grow closer to my roommates, learn that I can do anything as long as I put my heart into it, and taking risks isn't always a bad thing! I am so excited for the rest of the winter and the adventures it is sure to bring.
