Greatest Friend in the World!

So lately I have just been struggling with various things, and there has been one friend by my side regardless of my mood...most people tend to run in fear if I am in a bad mood. That friend is Betsy Nelson, I drum with her, she lives behind me, we do pretty much everything together which is fantastic. She is an amazing percussionist, and inspires me to work harder to be able to become a better percussionist. People will want us to go play games or things at their house and typically they just think of us as one person, which is hilarious although it is nice to be a separate person sometimes. Basically she has brought me up from my low points, and then encourages me to better myself every single day. Some days I can be quite mean, but no matter how mean I am she wants to help, and I couldn't ask for a better person to be there wanting to help me.

One experience we got to share together was going night skiing, the first night we went I probably never will forget. The weather was super sketchy, and I was nervous. Betsy is great driver however, and I will probably never doubt her abilities again. Some ways along the we started fishtailing, and like pro she got out of it with not even a blink of her eye. Down the road a little further we totally spun 180 degrees, and I haven't been that afraid in my life. We spun directly into the other lane, and no harm was done, Betsy didn't even freak out like I did. Once we got the ski resort we had a blast, who knew a skier and a snowboarder could have so much fun on the slopes together. We had a meeting that same night for TBS which is the honorary band service sorority, needless to say we showed up late and people gave us compliments for showing such great sisterhood bonding. We laughed because we just wanted to go snowboarding so bad that we used it as an excuse in case we were late to our meeting. We went a couple more times, and honestly we had so much fun, I got to know just how good at skiing Betsy really is. She is fantastic, and is always ready to have a party even if you are on your butt because you have fallen. One night we took like 80 pictures of ourselves on the ski lift, this is just two of them where we look pretty decent.

Most recently she came to my sisters wedding with me to be moral support, she definitely was more than that. She is so fantastic at jumping right in and helping out no matter the circumstance. We got home later Friday night and right away she was helping with the cake, and then later she helped Amanda put together all of the bridesmaids necklaces....really she did all the work on the necklaces. She isn't afraid to try anything, and does a great job no matter what it is she is doing. I can imagine it was awkward because she didn't know anyone but she made friends with my cousins, and just overall was there to help out and I know my mom definitely appreciated her help. She go my hair done, and it did look good even though I deny it. My hair probably wouldn't have gotten done if she hadn't been there to do it. My brothers definitely took a liking to here. One of the days we were down there Jaysen started a tickle fight with her, and it was fun to see how she reacted because she isn't ticklish at all. She is always there to have fun, and is never mean. I am not sure where I would be without her, I have been picked up off the ground numerous times because of her, and most recently she has held me to the blocking of my Facebook account. I may complain about not having a lot but really it has helped me be more productive with my days and I have definitely been trying harder to focus in school these last few weeks. I am excited to live with her next year, and hopefully we don't kill each other and ultimately we end up having a blast! 

This is my friend Betsy, and I would have to say she is my greatest friend in the world.
